A Fusion of Ancient Wisdom and Modern Design. A revolutionary design inspired by ancient yogic wisdom. The Sanskrit word for “turtle” is kurma. The turtle’s timeless symbolism is incorporated into the design of the Kurma T-Shirt offering a serene and protected space for meditation and introspection.

By meditating on the turtle energy channel, one achieves stability and tranquility in both mind and body. In the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, one of the foundational texts of yoga philosophy, the practice of kurma nadi meditation is described. The term “kurma nadi” in Sanskrit can be translated as “tortoise/turtle energy channel.” Kurma nadi meditation involves withdrawing the senses like a turtle withdraws its head, legs and tail inside its shell. Kurma nadi meditation focuses attention inward to achieve a state of deep inner peace and clarity. This practice, also known as pratyahara, is a key component of Patanjali’s eight limbs of yoga and serves as the inspiration for the Kurma T-Shirt.
